General beautiful and interesting photos from India. They hop around a bit, but I have included captions on the first page for some added enjoyment.

A group of Dheli schoolchildren stop Gopi and I to practice their English. If India has taught me one thing it is that I need to learn to speak better English. Despite us all speaking the 'same' language I often can't understand a thing.
The sacred Ganga flowing through the Hindu pilgrimage site of Rishikesh. This is where The Beatles found their Indian Guru and wrote an album. We explored their Ashram which has been completely taken back by the forest since the Indian government closed it years ago due to it drawing too much attention.
A Ganga-side park in Rishikesh, the point where the Ganga exits the Himalayas.
The Himalayas looking up from the 'pristine' waters of Dharamshala. When camping in the States we are taught to dig an 8 inch hole at least 100 ft away from any waterway so not to contaminate it. In India, when your house doesn't have a bathroom and you've got to go you just make your way to the nearest stream and cop a squat. So every time it rains is one big 'flush' downstream into the Ganga. Its amazing what people do to the Sacred.
Same Same.
A pilgrim Puga ceremony in Rishikesh.
Gopi excited about something in Rishikesh. I'm guessing its the water-canon shooting out the head of 20-foot tall statue of Shiva in front of her.
Himalayas!
Gopi and I after cutting each others' hair on the Ganga beach outside of Rishikesh. I really liked my new haircut, but the one I gave Gopi made her cry. I'm never volunteering to do that again. Oh, and a Sadu (a Hindu Ascetic who lives in a cave back behind us) volunteered to take this picture. For an Ascetic that lives in a cave he sure knew how to take a good picture.
